Unit 12 What’s the best radio station?
1. 最受欢迎的服装店是时尚少年服装店。
误：Most popular clothing store is Trendy Teens.
正：The most popular clothing store is Trendy Teens.
析：形容词最高级形式前一般要加定冠词。当most用作“非常”时，前面不用冠词。比较：This book is most interesting. 这本书很有趣。（most表示very的意义）Of all the stories, yours is the most interesting. 在所有的故事中，你的故事最有趣。（表示同其它故事相比较）
2. 在冬季我们需要暖和的衣服 。
误：In winter we need warm clothings.
正：In winter we need warm clothing.
析：clothing指衣服的总称，是不可数名词，在词尾不可以加s。如：People wear warm clothing in cold weather. 天冷时人们穿暖和的衣服。
3. 这个箱子够大吗？
误：Is the box enough big?
正：Is the box big enough?
析：作副词用来修饰形容词或其它副词时，要放在所修饰词后面。如：The book is hard enough for a beginner to read. 这本书对一个初学者来说够难读的了。
4. 已经十一点了，但他还在努力工作。
误：It is eleven o’clock but he still is hard at work.
正：It is eleven o’clock but he is still hard at work.
析：still用作副词，表示“仍旧、还”时，它在句子中的位置一般在be之后。如：All of my classmates are still in the classroom. 我的同学都还在教室里。
5. 这家商店的服务最亲切。
误：The store has the most friendly service.
正：The store has the friendliest service.
析：friendly是以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节形容词，其比较级和最高级形式应将y 变成i再加er或est。
6. 那女孩唱得美极了。
误：The girl sang lovely.
正：The girl sang beautifully.
析：lovely是形容词，不是副词，所以不能修饰动词，误句中lovely可改用beautifully。
7. 我每天晚上收听无线电广播。
误：I listen to radio every evening.
正：I listen to the radio every evening.
析：表示“无线电广播”，习惯上在radio前面有定冠词the。如：I heard the news on the radio. 我从无线电广播中听到这新闻。
8. 我们学校离那家工厂很近。
误：Our school is close from the factory.
正：Our school is close to the factory.
析：表示“与…..靠近”，应该说close to。如：The river is close to my house. 这条河离我的家很近。The little girl sat close to her mother. 小女孩紧靠妈妈坐着。
9. 维拉要去找大夫看病，因为她的病比昨天更厉害了。
误：Vera is going to the doctor because she is bader than she was yesterday.
正：Vera is going to the doctor because she is worse than she was yesterday.
析：形容词bad的比较级和最高级应该是worse, worst。如：This is bad, but that is worse. 这个不好，可是那个更不好。This time she read worse than ever. 这次她念得比平时差。
10.这家宾馆的价格很便宜。
误：The price of the hotel is cheap.
正：The price of the hotel is low.
析：当说到商品的“昂贵”，“便宜”时，如果主语用price来表示，不能用dear（expensive）和cheap做表语，而应该用high和low。但如果主语是表示商品的名词或代词时，其表语则可用dear（expensive）和cheap。如：The prices of the books are low. = The books are cheap. 这些书很便宜。
