摘要:PURPOSE:To enhance reliability and luminous efficiency without any use of afilament by applying electron impact heat to a conductive material displaying
conductivity at a high temperature with an AC power supply and making the material tobe luminous due to heat radiation. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 9 is closed and apreheating tungsten filament 3 is supplied with electric power from a filament heatingpower supply 8 for raising the temperature of the filament 3 up to 2,200 deg.C or thelike, and the voltage of a DC high voltage power supply 13 is applied to a tungsten plate2 showing conductivity at a high temperature and a filament 3, then the plate 2 is impactheated with thermal electrons from the filament 3 up to 2,200 deg.C. Then, when atungsten plate 1 similar to the aforesaid plate 2 is applied with AC positive high voltagevia a AC high voltage power supply 10 and a thyrister circuit 7, the temperature of theplate 1 is raised up to 2,200 deg.C due to impact heating. Furthermore, when applied withAC negative high voltage, the plate is further heated up to a higher temperature. Finally,upon reaching a temperature level of 3,000 deg.C due to impact heating, the plate 1discharges a large quantity of light due to heat radiation. According to the aforesaidconstruction, a light discharging filament is eliminated and it is possible to obtain anincandescent lamp having high reliability and luminous efficiency.
