摘要：A protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) is proposed for a mobilecommunication device comprising a transmitter circuitry for transmitting signals, a

receiver circuitry for receiving signals, an antenna line, a switch (102) for connecting theantenna line either to the receiver circuitry or to the transmitter circuitry, and aprotection circuit such as a transient voltage suppressor (106, 107, 108) to diverttransient currents away from vulnerable circuitry whereby the switch (102) is inaccordance with the also proposed method per default in the position in which itconnects the antenna line to the receiver circuitry each time the mobile communicationdevice is not in the transmitting mode, and the line connecting the switch (102) to thereceiver circuitry is protected by the transient voltage suppressor (106, 107, 108).
