I have a good friend at school . His name is Simon.

He is tall and strong. He has short hair and wears glasses. He loves sports and his favourite sport is playing basketball. Yao Ming is his hero. He is good at playing basketball, so he is a member of the school basketball. In his free time, he often parctises playing basketball.

He knows healthy food is important for him. So he usually has an egg, a glass of milk for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, he has rice , fish and vegetables. He thinks healthy food is good for our health and we get energy from them. He seldom eats cakes or sweets because there is too much sugar in them and they are bad for his teeth. This is my friend Simon. He is a nice boy and he has a healthy lifestyle.

There is a new shopping mall near our school. It is next to the bus stop and it is easy to find.

There are many/ lots of clothes shops in the mall. Girls like them very much. But there is only one shorts shop in it. There are not enough shops for boys. I think they need some more.

On the top floor, there are many restaurants. You can enjoy all kinds of food from different places there. And I like Sichuan food best.

The shopping mall is a very interesting place to go and it is also a good place to meet friends.

Jack is from America, but now he lives in Yangzhou with his parents. He is in Class 8, Grade 7.

The Spring festival is an important holiday in China. Most Chinese families celebrate it in many ways. It always comes in January or February. It is often cold at this time of year, but people are happy. Family members get together and then have a big dinner. After dinner, people like watching TV. There is a great Spring Festival Gala on TV every year. Children like letting off fireworks at night. All the people wear new clothes. They always have great fun.

Now the Spring Festival is coming. We have lots of nice food to eat. But we need to eat healthy food and eat more fruit and vegetables to keep fit. I have 800 yuan. I want to use it to buy a red wool coat, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of colourful trainers in Gulou Shopping mall because I think they are fit for a festival and I look nice in these clothes.

I am sure we will have a good time at this time of year. I can’t wait for it !
